These Unique Flowers Become Transparent When It Rains

flower Diphylleia

Seemingly ordinary, white flowers with the original name “Diphylleia grayi” does not seem to be so special. It is commonly known as the skeleton flower.¬†Ordinary, tiny and white, if you see them, you may not even notice them, at least until water is dropped on them.

That is when the magic happens…

Their white color no longer exists, that is, the water makes them transparent. The small lines that are formed then resemble the human skeleton, and that is why they are called skeleton flowers.

They are usually found in wet, mountainous areas and in colder regions. They are also a sign that spring is coming to its end.
