DIY Ombre Plant Pot

This spring, why don’t you try something else with your terracotta pots? For example, you can refresh them by painting them ombre. This style will give your space a delicate, peaceful feel.
You will need:
- White acrylic primer
- Paintbrush
- Terracotta pot
- Acrylic paint
- Disposable plastic bin large enough to submerge bottom half of pot
How to do it, step by step:
1. Paint the outside of the pot with white acrylic primer. Let dry overnight.
2. Fill a plastic container with 1-2 inches of water. Add around 2 tablespoons of paint, blend altogether well.
3. Plunge the pot into the paint mixture. You can give it a few fast plunges to accomplish a more profound shading, however don’t give the pot a chance to sit in the mixture for longer than a couple minutes. Let the pot dry, around 20 minutes.
4. Add another inch of water to the plastic container, again – mix well.
5. Plunge the pot once more, right over the first dip, to make a lighter layer of shading.
6. Repeat steps four and five to make a third lighter layer, if you want. As a matter of fact, you can do this as many times as you want your pot to have layers.
