Urine – The Natural Tomato Fertilizer

Published by Maggie on

A new study has made gardeners using pee on their tomato plants, and they say it works. The review discovered pee raised yields 4.2 times contrasted with non-treated plants. Tomatoes developed with pee had an same amount of supplements as plants that got mineral manures. Urine can be utilized as a safe and free mineral fertilizer.

Environmental biology analysts in Finland compared tomatoes that were watered with urine to those that were given mineral fertilizer and no fertilizer. The results showed that plants that were given urine did as well as those given mineral fertilizers and had more protein and beta carotene, an antioxidant.

Few of the benefits from doing this are: a substantially increased yield, even in sub-par soil conditions and less money spent on fertilizers and amendments.

Urine is free, safe, and natural. Sounds like it is worth a try.
