These plants should be planted together in pairs:

Tomatoes and Cabbage

Tomatoes are repellent to diamondback moth hatchlings, which are caterpillars that bite extensive openings in cabbage leaves.

Peppers and Pigweed

Leafminers favored both pigweed and ragweed to pepper plants in a study at the Coastal Plains Experiment Station in Tifton, Georgia. Simply make sure to expel the blooms before the weeds set seed.

Cabbage and Dill

The cabbages bolster the dill, while the dill draws in the minor useful wasps that control imported cabbage worms and other cabbage bugs.

Lettuce and Tall Flowers

Nicotiana (blooming tobacco) and cleome (spider blossom) give lettuce the light shade it develops best in.

Radishes and Spinach

Planting radishes among the spinach will draw leafminers far from the spinach. The harm the leafminers do to radish leaves doesn’t affect their development underground.

Collards and Catnip

Planting catnip together with collards lessens insect bug the damage on the collards.

Strawberries and Love-In-A-Mist

Tall, blue-flowered love-in-a-mist (Nigella damascena) are the perfect companions to strawberries.
